3. Compartment syndrome. Doctors were surprised to find that squatting in the tight jeans had lead to compartment syndrome, a dangerous condition where an injury leads to swelling of the muscle or nerves that is constrained by a layer of tissue called the fascia. The 35-year-old woman (whose name has not been released) was helping a friend move and spent several hours squatting while she cleaned out cabinets. She said her legs began to feel numb. In order to treat the poor woman, the medical staff had to cut the woman’s tight jeans from her legs. The woman stayed in the hospital for four days for treatment. She was reported to have fully recovered after … all these for wearing a pair of skinny jeans.
Who would have ever thought that squatting could be a very deadly position? Well, it is if you’re wearing skinny jeans.

2. Nerve damage. Dr. Karen Boyle from Greater Baltimore Medical Center, who has recently seen cases of women suffering pain from wearing tight jeans. She explains: “This disorder is called Meralgia Paresthetica and it’s a disorder that occurs when one of the nerves that runs in the outer part of a thigh gets compressed. The pressure on it causes symptoms of tingling, numbness and pain in the outer part of the thigh.” Source: Gizmodo.com
Dr. Boyle adds that those who suffer from this report that they can’t feel their lower legs while feeling some pain in the thighs. The issue is exacerbated when women wear high heels. This increases the pressure on the nerves, making matters worse.
