It’s clear that the Shelter in Place is affecting all aspects of our lives. From going out shopping to even interacting with loved ones, all of us have had to adjust to stay safe.
During my time in lockdown, one of the biggest changes I have noticed was my change in style. With no special occasions or hangouts coming up, there is definitely a lack of motivation to put on a nice outfit. I am literally in PJ’s 24/7, folks … and although that sounds nice the first couple of days, it can be a little boring.
This lack of effort to stay stylish during these times has made trips to the grocery store or my local Target very boring (sigh). I bet you can feel the same! Maybe we all just need to find a small way to change our appearance and showcase our bubbly, colorful personalities.
Are you feeling like your mask doesn’t represent the true you? Or do you just need a change from the plain white face mask? Look no further! Check out these couple of businesses that are making face mask coverings for you during these tough times.
1. Reformation

Reformation is one of the popular clothing brands that are making masks for people during the COVID-19 crisis. Known for their sustainable pieces and classic textiles, Reformation is making sure their customers can stay healthy by selling packs of five face mask coverings for $25. You can wear them on top of your N95’s or on top of an air filter to ensure you are well protected. Their strings for tying at the ears allow each user a snug fit and pleasant wear experience!
Get these masks if you are into a little spontaneity in your life! Each purchase will be made out of various fabrics, so you will never know what you’re going to get. What you will know however, is that you’re going to be rocking these babies proudly on your next run for errands!
2. Katie May

Want a mask that is completely unique and shows off your delicate side? Bridal company Katie May might just be the perfect business to turn to! Besides the cute lace detail on the outer layer, this mask is a triple layer, fitted design with adjustable head straps. I’d say this mask fits the “provocateur” name because of it’s eye-catching design.
Definitely get this face mask if you want to turn heads while out and about! It’s the perfect balance of sexy and safe. You know what I mean? They also carry cute styles for women and kids, so make it clear that they inherited their sense of style from you!
3. RE/DONE

Alright, maybe you’re someone who likes something more simple yet makes a statement. Check out RE/DONE’s line of face masks. The clothing company carries face mask coverings made from upcycled materials, so you can purchase ones with tie dye print or even a bandana design. You also can’t go wrong with a mask with flexible ear straps to ensure protection for wearers.
I personally like the “Too Close” Mask because it can serve as caution for bystanders and remind them of social distancing. However, make sure to take a look at their line of masks because a couple have sold out already!
4. Sanctuary

Another cool business you can check out for your face mask covering needs is Sanctuary! Their five pack purchase gives you different styles so you can mix and match with your favorite pieces in your closet. Say “hello” to more cute outfits and Instagram posts because these masks add the final touches to any fashion ensemble. Sanctuary’s face covering pack is guaranteed to help you feel confident walking around.
With packs for both men and women, you can make sure that you are always looking sharp during this lockdown. Oh ya, and did I mention that Alessandra Ambrosio and Ben Affleck have been seen wearing these masks?! Maybe that will convince you to check out their site right now.
5. Onzie

This lockdown is making all the ladies wear comfortable clothing. One of my staples (when I’m not wearing my PJ’s, of course) would be my spandex leggings. Unlike the other masks mentioned, Onzie has face mask coverings that have stretchy fabric that is used to make their comfortable yoga clothing inventory. They have so many patterns and colors, it’s like a face mask heaven!
Onzie is a great business for those who live and breathe athleisure wear, and with their cute face mask coverings, they make sure you are comfortable all the time. Their 2 pack mindful masks are the way to go so be sure to take a look at their website!
These are just a few businesses that are helping out their communities by creating face masks during this difficult time. Gap, Old Navy, and Nordstrom are just some of the well-known businesses that are also making masks to sell during this time. However, make sure to support any business, especially small businesses, during this time. They need customers like us to stay afloat and continue to serve their communities in the best way possible!
Which mask is your favorite? Are you going to use some of these companies’ designs to make your own mask at home? Let us know what you think about these masks in the comments.
Hope you stay safe and stay in style during these tough times, Stylistas! We are in this together.
