Have you ever tried facial oil? I’ve only been in my skincare comfort zone, per say. Skincare aficionados and influencers always say that the classic trio of face wash, moisturizer, and sunscreen are must-have’s, so I always stuck to that. Plus, I would hear that oils can be clogging to pores and make sensitive skin more likely to break out. I just stayed away from them … that is, until now.
Bubble reached out to me to try out some of their skincare products in exchange for my honest review, so I decided to try their most popular dry skin solutions! After a month of using their Float On Facial Oil, I can say that I get the hype as to why people use facial oils. I may be super late to the party. However, it’s not too late for me to take you onto Cloud 9 with me.
Before I give my thoughts while using facial oil, let’s first discuss who is the right person for these skincare essentials.
Why Might an Oil Be For You?
Facial oils serve as skincare tools that help support your skin’s functions. Specifically, it adds an extra layer of moisture to protect your skin barrier and ensure that it is moisturized and healthy. This means that facial oils can not only support your skin in terms of extra moisture but in terms of supporting a foundation to reduce the likeliness of breakouts and wrinkles. You can say that it is an anti-aging addition to your skincare regimen. Oils can also help with hyperpigmentation and blemishes since it adds moisture (lipids) to strengthen your skin and retain its water. Hydrated skin is essential to say bye to those blemishes.
Like our skin, oils can also be formulated differently. You can’t just go crazy and put every single facial oil on your face or else you’re setting your skin up for disaster. There are oil formulations that are for dry skin and there are oil formulations for oily skin and sensitive skin, so make sure to do your research and find what ingredients are most compatible with your needs.
If you are trying hard to integrate oils into your skincare routine, treat it like every new addition to your skincare collection and take baby steps. Do a patch test on your skin the day before in case of irritation. Start with 1 drop every other day and work your way up to using it every night.

Bubble’s Float On Facial Oil is a product that is suited for all skin types. It is designed to be lightweight and to make your skin look healthier and nourished by calming it down from outside pollutants and stressors. Currently, the facial oil retails at $19.00 USD for 30 mL on their website.
This facial oil can be used during the day, during the night, or whenever your skin feels it needs a touch-up. It is here to save your skin and change your skincare game because of these awesome key ingredients:
- Safflower Oil: This ingredient is perfect for dry skin since it hydrates while soothing the skin from inflammation.
- Neem Seed Oil: Neem seed oil has antioxidant properties and is also known to reduce inflammation and help with wound or blemish healing.
- Prickly Pear Oil: Not only are prickly pears yummy, they also contain Vitamin E and amino acids that help with skin cell generation and younger-looking skin.
- Buriti Oil: This oil contains fatty acids and Vitamin A. It is a great ingredient for anti-aging if you want to reduce wrinkles and fine lines.
- Opuntia Ficus-Indica (Cactus) Flower Extract: Cactus flower has antioxidant and anti-microbial properties that help you by soothing and calming your skin.

Unlike the other products I received from Bubble, the facial oil comes in a sturdy metal container. The container also isn’t see-through to maintain the potency of the facial oil and also to ensure outside temperature doesn’t affect it.
The packaging probably stole my heart because of the pipette. I love the pipette since you can release oil with the button that is on the top of the lid. You have to twist open the top in order to reveal the push mechanism for obtaining and releasing the oil. I haven’t tested this oil for traveling, but the twist lid seems to be a good solution to the flimsy pipettes with silicone handles.
Lightweight Formula
The oil is very lightweight and has a light castor oil-like scent that isn’t overwhelming. There is no color to this oil and it feels a little slippery on my skin. When applying 1-2 drops of oil after using moisturizer, my skin easily absorbed this and loved it. A little bit of the oil can go a long way. You will know you used the proper amount for you if you aren’t tugging at your skin during application.
Smooth, Silky, Softness
I was not expecting my skin to love this facial oil so much! I was wowed when using the facial oil because it felt so nourished and healthy every single time. No annoying greasy feeling, just a super soft, silky finish! My skin felt baby skin smooth when topping the oil over their Slam Dunk moisturizer. My face just had a very slight slipperiness from using the facial oil that wasn’t a bother.
During my experience with this product, I can say that my skin did not break out. My dry skin can get red pretty easily, so I was in disbelief when I was left with skin that looked calmed down, smooth and glowy, and perfectly moisturized to beat the cold. There were multiple times when I stopped myself in the mirror to admire my skin. You can say it was love at first sight for me with this oil.
Your Skin’s New BFF
My skin never broke out. In fact, I think it felt better because it was silky smooth. Since the facial oil is an emollient that helps support the superpowers of my moisture-focused skincare routine, it helped my skin stay healthy. I can honestly say I had the best skin ever with the facial oil because it left a huge impression on me.
Would I repurchase?
Bubble really converted me into a facial oil follower with this one. I wasn’t expecting to love this one (in fact, I was initially apprehensive to try it because oils would clog my pores). Now, I don’t think I can see my winter skincare routine without it. It’s part of my holy grail skincare list and I wish I had this when I first dealt with a damaged skin barrier.
I also had my mom try this product out, and she loved it just as much as I did. Her skin felt so moisturized and she also reported no breakouts on her end. I kind of had to prevent my mom from taking this one because she took my moisturizer (sorry, mom). If we’re fighting over the same product, you know it’s the real deal. Don’t worry, I’m planning to get one soon once I run out.
Bubble really knocked it out of the park with this one and that’s my honest opinion! Seriously, give this one a shot. 💙
