Are you a morning person or a night owl? As much as I would love to wake up early, I can’t help staying up late watching a movie or investing in a good book in bed. My skin may look tired from waking up late, but that’s exactly why I love having skincare for that perfect, 8-hours-of-sleep look. They do the hard work for me so that I can look more energized than I may actually be.
I was so excited to receive the new Vegan Active Berry Lifting Cream from @drceuracle_global @dr.ceuracle @go.picky and @pickyrewards in exchange for my honest review! This product was tested for two to three weeks in my morning and nighttime skincare routines for me to come up with my opinions of this product.
Can Berries Save the Day? Maybe …
Vegan Active Berry Lifting Cream by Dr. Ceuracle currently sells at $33 USD for 75g on Amazon. This cream screams anti-aging and moisturizing heaven by giving your skin a dewy glow while minimizing the appearance of wrinkles and making your skin more elastic. It is also recommended to use this cream on areas that are prone to wrinkling like your neck and decolletage area for an at-home “facelifting massage.”
By the way, you can purchase this product at a cheaper price and with 10% off your total if you buy it with my discount code INF10OHMY at Stylevana. If you purchase at least $59 USD worth of your Kbeauty essentials on Stylevana, you can get 15% off your order with that same discount code. I do receive a small percentage of the commission if you use my code.
Like their vegan berry essence, Dr. Ceuracle supports your skin by providing boosting ingredients like:
- Resveratrol Capsules: Made from French grapes, these capsules revive your skin and give a nice glow since resveratrols are antioxidants.
- Grape Seed Oil: This oil is made from used Port Wine grapes and gives intense hydration to seal in moisture and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
- Cranbetinol: This is a cranberry-derived peptide alternative to retinol (Vitamin A). If you want to avoid the flaky skin and dryness that can come from retinol or want to avoid retinol because it can be animal-sourced, then trying cranbetinol and retinal can be a safer alternative.
- Titanium Dioxide: Provides UV protection and is commonly used as a thickener for skincare products to enhance the anti-aging effects of other ingredients.
- Contains other hydrating ingredients like glycerin and hyaluronic acid.
A Luxurious Experience
Simple, Reusable Packaging
Dr. Ceuracle does a great job with the first impressions. When I opened the box, I could not help but admire the sleek glass packaging. It’s a very simple glass jar with a pastel purple or lilac-colored lid.
If you love skincare brands that make their packaging recycling-friendly, you will like this. The sticker labels are very easy to peel so you can reuse the jar or simply recycle it for repurposing. I think I’ll be reusing it, so I’m excited to use it up to the last drop.
Pudding-like Consistency
The formula is pudding-like and seamlessly blends into a slippery cream on my skin. The cream isn’t too jiggly and maintains its shape probably due to the thickening ingredients like titanium dioxide. I did not really notice the gel capsules in the cream unless you looked up close.
Juicy Finish to Prep Your Skin
The cream leaves this glow that makes my skin look hydrated. After spreading onto my skin, I did see a sheen that would distract from my blemishes. I think this effect also works for you if you have fine lines or wrinkles, so this is an anti-aging product to look out for.
After a few minutes of using this at night, I did notice that this cream can leave a slightly tacky feeling. This cream is meant more for a morning routine because of this feeling. So, if you are thinking of putting on makeup and sunscreen in the morning, use this cream formula first to seal in your serums and create a protective barrier for your skin. This cream can serve as a primer to hold your makeup for longer.
Lovely Scent
There is a pleasant scent from the mix of lavender and orange oils, but it isn’t overbearing. I would pinpoint the scent as more fruity if I did not read through the ingredient list for you. I did not get a headache from using this product, which can happen to me when I use products with strong scents.
Summer Skin Potential Unlocked
My dry and sensitive skin didn’t break out with this product. The cream blends into my skin effortlessly and doesn’t leave a white cast. I love the thin finish of this formula so that I can let my skin breathe with or without makeup.
The Only Caveat
This formula overall is great, except for one thing: the beads. The gel beads didn’t disperse easily after rubbing the product well into my skin. There were a few occasions when I would notice the small beads and mistake them for my sunscreen pilling up on my skin. So, if you do not like skincare products that tend to pill on your skin, keep this in mind before buying.
Would I repurchase?
Although I love the glowing effect it gives to my dry skin, I do not think I would. For the price point, I would expect my skincare to blend in without any pilling or beads.
I think I would only repurchase if the gel beads were not there. You can see that the beads were still easy to see in the close-ups. If you don’t mind that, then I would highly recommend the product! Please also keep in mind that the small amount of titanium dioxide isn’t enough for SPF protection. Make sure to support your skin with other sunscreens afterward so that it isn’t affected by UVA and UVB rays. It can be a good primer for makeup, in my opinion.
