Which area of your face would you consider to be the worst place for pimples? I’m prone to breakouts on my chin and jawline. However, I can take those any day to avoid the dreaded nose pimples.
In my opinion, pimples on your nose are always the worst! It gives me instant flashbacks to when I had a big pimple on the center of my nose during Christmas (and yes, I did feel like I was a cute Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer). These types of pimples can expand and be painful to touch. Don’t forget to mention they can be a huge effort to heal during the blemish stage. Ugh, they are truly something else.
Your Nose Also Needs a Pinch of Pimple Patch Love, Too
Did you know that there are pimple patches for your nose? Honestly, neither did I until I discovered the spotless nose patches from Glam Up.
Spotless Nose Patch sells at $16.90 USD on their Amazon storefront for 12 patches. Like other hydrocolloid pimple patches that you’ve seen and used for your skin care issues, these nose patches absorb sebum and oil and pull out whiteheads. Using these nose patches is supposed to help lessen the frequency of annoying breakouts on your nose.
I received this product from @go.picky @pickyrewards and @glamup.official in exchange for my honest review. These nose patches were used every few days over the course of two to three weeks in order to come up with the following opinions.
Glam Up’s Spotless Nose Patches are made of high-grade hydrocolloid patches that are vegan and cruelty-free. They are also formulated with the following key ingredients:
- Centella Asiatica: This ingredient is used in the skincare industry to deal with inflammation and redness. It can also slow down the aging process of your skin.
- Heart Leaf Extract: Hearleaf is perfect for sensitive skin types because it can provide moisture to the skin, reduce inflammation, and minimize the appearance of blemishes.
- Niacinamide: A beloved ingredient for skincare of all skin types, niacinamide can slow down the aging process by retaining your skin’s moisture and reducing hyperpigmentation. It can also be used to reduce pore size and sebum production to minimize breakouts.
Nice On My Nose and My Skin
Perfect Sizing
The 90mm size for the pimple patch was perfect and was great coverage for my nose, crevices and all. I think all nose types can use these nose patches since they appeared a little large to accommodate nose bridge shapes. This nose patch also covers the tip of my nose where whiteheads can be hidden, so I was pleasantly surprised to discover this while applying it.
Hygiene-First Focus
The patches are neatly packaged in separate baggies so that you can take them out for single use. Each patch is in a see-through plastic and paper pouch and attached to a slip of plastic for an easy-peel application. Sometimes I do have an issue with peeling the pimple patch from the plastic because the clinging can warp the shape. There is no issue with warping when using this.
These nose patches are bigger than the smaller, targeted circle patches. Because the plastic film attached to the nose patch is split in half, this means that you can easily apply the patches to your nose. You can peel one side to put on your nose and then peel the other half to complete the process. It may be difficult to peel the plastic off the smaller cuts that accommodate your nose tip, but you’ll get the hang of it over time.
When using pimple patches, you usually want them to be thin. These nose patches are thick, which is totally fine since they are for nighttime use. The thickness of the patches ensures that the product clings well to your skin and lasts through the night. It also doesn’t rip apart during removal, which is important if you want to eliminate the possibility of breakouts from clogged pores.
Comfortable Throughout the Night
These pimple patches are unscented, so you don’t have to worry about the possibility of a headache. The patches were super comfortable to wear overnight and didn’t affect my breathing or my comfort. If your nose does wind up feeling itchy, you will have to bear with it and try your best to scratch your nose or pat the itchiness away.
Pushes Pimples Out
I woke up to not seeing the absorbency like what happens with pimple patches, but I saw the effects once I took it off! The gross accumulation of oil is really visible once you remove the patch from your nose. The patch absorbed so much oil and actually brought my whiteheads to the surface, making them easy to extract.
Some of the oils were absorbed into the patch and some of the oils were at the skin’s surface. I had to use my pimple extractor to get these buildups out of my nose. That was when my nose was finally super clear and super smooth. My pores definitely looked smaller afterward.
Strong Enough for Whiteheads
If you have huge pores and are prone to blackheads and whiteheads, then you can definitely them pulled out by these strips without it drying your skin out and hurting. Removing these nose patches were not painful at all. If you remember those god-awful charcoal strips that left your nose feeling dry as a dessert, then you will understand what I am comparing these patches to. As long as you just fold the nose patch downwards, you will not feel any pain and you will not be tugging at your skin.
Would I repurchase?
The price is definitely worth it for these nose strips, which can be used once every two weeks, in my opinion. I love pimple patches and these definitely lived up to the hype. If you want to reduce blemishes or early-stage pimples without irritation, these nose patches are a nice addition to your skincare routine. I wish I had these when I was younger.
